[Seminar] Held for the first time! Cross-Strait Jiao-Tung University Communication Graduate Academic Exchange Seminar ended successfully

On October 29th (Friday), the School's Communication Research Institute held a seminar on the academic exchange of postgraduate students at the Cross-Strait Jiaotong University. Yang Lin, deputy dean of the School of Humanities at Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Xue Ke, the head of the Department of Journalism and Communication at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, were invited. Assistant Professor Wu Hao and others led five PhD students from the two universities to attend the conference. This activity is the first academic exchange for postgraduate students of the three schools in Taiwan. The conference takes the development of new media as the main axis, and discusses topics ranging from media content and interactive design to marketing. Through paper publishing and in-depth discussion, they learn from each other and get Inspired.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Media and Communication of Shanghai Jiaotong University signed the student exchange MOU at the end of 2017 (2017). Yang Lin, the deputy dean of Xi'an Jiaotong University, said in his speech: "Traditionally, Jiaotong University is a science and technology type school. I hope that we can rely on the advantages of science and technology to adapt to the development of new media technology." And this time, come to the school, Yang Lin said Just like participating in the activities of the "relative family", the three schools are the same as the roots, and they can get a lot of inspiration in the process of communication; and the relatives are getting closer and closer, and hope that the exchange seminar will be normalized in the future.

New media has recently received more and more attention. Even next year, mainland China is likely to push the 5G network to the road. Therefore, Xue Ke, director of the Shanghai Jiaotong University, stressed at the meeting that the interaction between people in the new media will have a closer link. It is also more visible and research potential. Under the trend of media changes, Xue Ke believes that "the interaction between disciplines and inter-schools can better identify new development space in the future", so I hope that the three transportation universities will be able to create a teacher and graduate student in the future. This seminar is based on the new media, from the perspective of people's analysis and production content, to the interactive design of new media, user experience, to the marketing of new media, divided into three special sessions, from 3 schools. A total of 11 graduate students published academic papers, and many teachers in the school's dissemination station also served as commentators.

In the new media marketing and health communication, the school's master student Fang Weini and the graduated Li Mengxuan explored their intentions and attitudes through the new barrage advertisement and knowledge-paid media. Shanghai Jiaotong University doctoral student Wu Ao-nan used the rural Han Chinese women as an example to explore the current Chinese society's control over women's bodies. Another doctoral student Xu Jun introduced the origin and formation of stereotypes of female doctors in mainland China, illustrating Chinese women. The embarrassing situation of the doctor.

In the interactive design and user experience, the school's master graduate Liao Yuyu explored the character form design of the character and its influence on the user's cognition and memory effect; another graduate Hong Zhongwei's research cut from the gamification perspective and found the gamification application Program awareness is a key driver of user motivation and self-efficacy. Chen Yuxi, a doctoral student at Shanghai Jiaotong University, used the experimental method to explore whether artificial intelligence writing news can bring a higher satisfaction to the audience.

In the new media content and audiovisual research, the school's master student Hong Yuzhu explored the advertising effect of the consistency of the program advertisement language through the network experiment method, and found that the consistency of the program and the advertising language is higher, the attitude, memory and willingness of the advertisement The more positive the impact; Li Yiyi, who is currently attending the doctoral class at Shixin University, analyzes the relationship between the five personalityes, the brand personality of online news media and the use of media from the theory of consistency. Dr. Meng, a doctoral student at Shanghai Jiaotong University, studies how social media influences political trust, according to the mediating effect of social media users on political values ​​and ideology; Xu Qin, a Ph.D. student at Xi'an Jiaotong University, is aiming at the concept of “content is king” in the new media environment. The challenge is reanalyzed.

The seminar was held in the 3rd Hall of the Guangfu Campus, attracting dozens of students from the Department of Communication and other related departments to listen. Before the meeting, Shanghai and Xi'an Jiaotong students also visited the newly established "Dynamic Image Creation Institute" of the school, and were introduced by Li Junde, an associate professor of the Institute.
